The ISPO certification achievement standards for independent smallholders covesist offive principles rhat must he applied and implemented by smallholders. namely: compliance with regulations and Imvs, implemenfation of good plantation practices, environmental management. natural resources, and biodiversity. implementation of transparency and sustainahfe business improvement. The purpose of this study is to measure rhe extent the achievemenf of ISPO certification standards and formulate a .srraiegie plan Ihar wild be used as a recommenda tion for improvemeni ro accelerate the ent 01ISPO cert!/ication standards for independent oil palrn plantations in North Mori District. The study was conducted in North Mori Districl. North Moro wali Regency. Data collection employed a swrvey method, w ith primary data collectedJivm direcr interviews wirh smallholders and secondary data collected from government agencies. The study involved 72 smallholders, the sampling technique used stratified random sampling. The data analysis method is carried by comparing the assessment results ofrhe parameters measured or observed during the audit with the indicators contained in the ISPO srandmv.l. then assessed i" percenlage and strategic analysis using the SWOT matrix. The results showed *hat / he realizafion ofISPO principles was 63.87%- Of the 5 ISPO principles assessed only 2 principles approached the very high criteria, namely principle 2 (Implementation o/ good plantation practices) and Principle 4 (Implementation o/ transparency). Phe recommended ISPO development srralegv in independent oil palm plantations in Norrh Mori
District is: l) participanng in cultivation traihing pmgrams in accordance with G" P and ISPO training facilitated by the government and related institutions fo improve the technical knowledge and skills smallholders, 2) utilizing technological deevetopments such as plantation management applications ro simplifj• the plantation recording and adminis tration system which has so far been weak, and 3) increasing basic awareness ofenvimnmenral issues to prevent wrong plantation practices, in order to avoid product discrimination by markej regulations.
